  1. Those of us living in the UK & Ireland probably get our main cycling coverage from British Eurosport, which runs a different feed to Eurosport International. Because Moto GP and Touring Cars are more popular in the UK, this means we had all of 30 minutes coverage of the Tour of Flanders last Sunday when International Eurosport got 3 hours. I'm sick of this. They did it to Paris Roubaix last year too. And when we get to May our Giro coverage is going to be decimated by the World Snooker Championships (which BBC2 show live anyway!!!!!!!)

Does anyone in the UK get the International Eurosprt feed? If so what satellite dish and receiver box do you have?

The grass isn't always greener on the other side. Motor sports are more important than cycling here too in Germany. This Sunday, our Paris Roubaix coverage starts at 16:30 hrs CEST, and so if we are lucky, we will get 1 hour of coverage; most probably it will be less as the race will probably end earlier than 17:30 hrs.

Yes they did mash the coverage up completely..... I liked when the started the coverage just before the Mur then after that they jumped to 5km to go !

Two options... one is to watch the hour long highlights usually around 10:30pm on the night of the race or invest in a Italian or French satellite dish which connects to your Sky system... they cost around 100GBP and they point the dish in line with the signal.......you pay nothing for the subscription as most races are on free to air in Europe... the only problem is you get local language commentary..... I guess you could listen to EuroSport audio coverage whilst watching French TV ??

Paris-Roubaix is going to be cut up again this weekend so think about the options......

    Agreed.

I used to be with Chorus over here and I paid a monthly/annual fee - and they had the ES International channel as part of their package but they their package and transferred to British ES last year.
So like you - they provide very limited coverage over here.
I terminated my sub with Chorus.

What you need to do is the get a satellite receiver box and dish : you can then receive any channel transmitting "free to air" through the ether.

I got my dish/receiver through a TV installation/repair guy - who sources the satellite/dish from London.
In all it cost me €120.00 :

  5. Lim, what do you then watch the races on? Rai, Antenne 2, or who else?

    PP,

I get international ES : I can get RAI and ARD as well but the commentary is english-speaking on International ES so I stick with that.

Ok, sorry, I missed that. :o

  8. Could be worse. Those of us in the US with Versus will see bits of P-R on April 20th.

Yea, NS! I wonder if we can get Italian dishes in the US?

  10. I rely on internet sources to watch my cycling these days, and Eurosport had the Tour of Flanders running there website so I'm quite happy with them at the moment 🙂 . 'course that will change if they aren't showing GW or PR this week.

I wonder why they showed RVV same day but not PR. I don't think they're showing Amstel Gold at all. Guess we know where cycling stands now....behind bull riding and old VanDamme movies.

  12. I believe we are getting Paris-Roubaix live here in Australia on SBS.

    who replaces him?

McCrossan? Liggett makes more mistakes than Wayne Carey or Bill Clinton.
