  2. I can't do that relaxing stuff when on the bike in the garage...

    Metallica - Master of Puppets
    Machine Head - VIM
    Pantera - Slaughtered
    Slayer - Raining Blood
Machine Head - Blood for Blood
    Metallica - Blackened
Lamb of God - Blood of the Scribe
Fear Factory - HK Hunter Killer
    Pantera - Walk
    Metallica - Battery
Machine Head - Clenching the fists of dissent
    Pantera - Strength beyond Strength
    Fear Factory - Demanufacture.

As an added side note - Mr and Mrs Swampy get a shout out in Machine Head's latest CD liner notes, funnily enough as "Mr and Mrs Swampy" for being part of 'the mob' on the song "Clenching The Fists of Dissent"

I saw "Machine Head" and thought you were talking about a Deep Purple's album... 😄

If I had a penny for everytime I heard that one I'd have a Ferrari :p

'tis the boys from Oakland - currently 'special guests' for Metallica on their world tour. I do believe they're over in England right now.

  5. All Along the Watchtower - the beginning's the shizzle
Hey Joe (a little slow, I know, but I work with it just the same)
Manic Depression - awesome L5 interval tune
Crosstown Traffic - same as above
Spanish Castle Magic - same as above
Purple Haze - good for 2x20s

Some of my faves from Hendrix - been suffering to him every Saturday during the TTs...

  6. The Rebirth - Boy Hits Car
    Vitamin - Incubus
Bulls on Parade - Rage Against the Machine
Killing in the Name - Rage Against the Machine
Blood on the Ground - Incubus
    Different Sound - Teddybears
    Master of Puppets - Metallica
    Spybreak - Propellerheads
    Bang On! - Propellerheads
The Final Countd.... Hahaha J/k guys 😉
Open Your Eyes - Guano Apes
How I Could Just Kill a Man - Rage Against the Machine
We Use the Pain - Guano Apes (the title is definitely appropriate)
Anything by Girl Talk for tempo rides.
    Hero - Foo Fighters

Just a few of my favorites.

  7. My more common playlists are quite a bit different than these. I find I need/like to go for house/euro/trance. Things like:

This World is Watching Me - Armin Van Buuren
    Shocking Silence - Benny Benassi
    Tell Me Why - Supermode
    Odysee - Scarf!
    Sandstorm - Darude
Kernkraft 400 (Sport Chant Stadium Remix) - Zombie Nation
Who's Your Daddy? - Benny Benassi
    Russian Girls - Sasha Dith

I could go on and on. Granted, I listen to a lot of classic rock in other modes, but if I'm looking to cause some pain the beat has to move. Things like the above motivate some great workouts for me.

  8. Nice headbanging lists!

    For L5 workouts:

    Slipknot - My Plague
Marilyn Manson - Fight Song, Rock is Dead
Machine Head - Now I lay thee down
    Sepultura - Chaos BC, Roots
Rage against the machine - Killing in the name of
Ministry - Jesus build my Hotrod, Stigmata (live version of course)
    Nine Inch Nails - Wish
Front 242 - Tragedy for You
System of a Down - Prison Song
    Disturbed - Voices, Droppin' Plates
    1000 [censored] djs - Supernaut
    KMFDM - Godlike
Prodigy - Firestarter, Out of Space

and of course some old skool Hip Hop from my youth:
Public Enemy - Fight the Power, Welcome to the Terrordome, Burn Hollywood Burn
    NWA - Straight Outta Compton

For Tempo/L4 workouts I prefer Trance to get to the hypnotic rhytm of endless pedaling, discontinued mixes by Armin Van Buuren, Tiesto, Ferry Corsten, etc

LOL! There it is! I knew there was an ultimate reason why you're THE lost soul of the world; and possibly without redemption (you notice I said "possibly" 😄 )...

RATM SUCKS! compared to Cypress Hill, of whom they tried (in vain, I might add) to emulate...

Just listened to that album the other day. I used to work out to that. 🙂

  11. 1. Trainer Noise - Woosh, woosh
    2. Industrial Strength Fan - Keep it on High (this will blow you away!)
    3. Delusions of Grandeur - Occupy Your Mind (really gets your adrenaline going)

    Best stuff ever! 😉😄

RATM sucks just for the fact that Zack has to try real hard not to repeat the same line 328 time in the same song... 😉

Vitamin - Incubus. Great chillin' out song. S.C.I.E.N.C.E. is a great album but sadly the band kinda acknowledged a few years ago that they're no long technically capable of playing most of the tracks live.

S.O.D's Monkey's Rule and Kill the [censored] made a mystery apperance on the mp3 player. Not sure how... Maybe it just walked it self over to the PC.

  13. BBC World Service. Always something of interest .. and if not, something else will be along by the next interval.

Can't handle hammering to music, but that's just me. Maybe it's because I'm a musician, so the whole work/recreation/pleasure/pain thing gets a bit mixed up.

  14. I'll sometimes go with hardcore metal as well.

But what really gets me pumped during tough LT and V02s is hardcore gabber. (Radium: Corrupt 2 the Core. Look for it on Youtube)
    or
KMFDM's harder edged stuff (i.e. WWIII)
    or even
NIN's harder stuff. (i.e. Somewhat Damaged)

  15. Actually it's more of a "Video to Hurt Myself to..."

    "Run Lola Run"
I watch this DVD when I can't get motivated for my 2x20s or 3x20s. The format of the movie is three different 20-minute variations of basically the same frantic race against the clock. The music is a sustained techno beat that fits well with the video (but is probably nothing special by itself.) The dialog is in German, but there isn't much of it, so it's not hard to follow even if most of your attention is on your interval.
