hi, i started doing that 1 or 2 years ago, no problems so far. In fact i was more worried about the fork rather than the front wheel

Only if the rims are of carbon fiber. Your Aksiums and Ritcheys are safe.

It's alright even if they're carbon fiber.

Cover the hooks with a piece of hose pipe, foam sleeves or tape.

My bike hung from the wheels for fourteen years (don't ask!). Pulled it down, rebuilt the whole bike, zero harm done from hanging that long.

i've been storing my bikes like that for 15 or so years and have never had a problem from hanging themby the wheel.

The stress the 20 lb bike puts on the wheels by hanging is far less than the stress that a 20 lb bike + a 160 lb rider puts on the wheels. 😉
