  1. I am a member of West Suffolk Wheelers and we are planning two one hour long 'basic bike mechanics' lessons. that would cover in a simple 'show you what to do' format.

These would be in the new year and on weekday evening TBC.

We need a qualified mechanic interested in coming along to co-host these.
This would be aimed at the young rider and novice new rider with a bike and little understanding of how to adjust or check parts.

Here are the basics that we would be interested in:
    • Brakes, wheels, tubes & tyres
    - Brakes: workings, adjustment replacement blocks
    - wheel basic truing (for getting you home after a snapped spoke, checking condition)

    • Gears
    - workings
    - adjustment
    - common problems

    • Frame, materials, headset, saddle
    - correct sizing
    - checking for faults
    - material issues

If you would be interested could you give a cost for your time please.

This is not intended to be too in-depth, but to give more confidence to the owner and make explaining to a mechanic a problem in a clearer way. You could bring some examples of worn parts and tools.

    Contact me for details

  2. Will you "cover" my transportation from Spokane Washington USA?
