Hi gang- I bought an old varsity yesterday off craigslist for $25 bones. rough shape but great for the teardown ss conversion I want it for.
I was surprised by the "art deco-ness" of the stem, front derailleur, fd mount, and rd. To my surprise all that stuff said made in france (for good or bad).
So now I'm curious if anyone has a good way to tell what year these things are from. The guy who sold it to me said 70s but who knows.
