  1. So I am new to cycling and I really love it. I live in the pacific northwest and want to train during the winter and I am specifically want rollers. I have a single speed Bianchi and I just need to know if I need rollers with resistance or not? I am looking at a Weyless or Nashbar- any recommendations? Like I said I'm new to this and I really don't want to buy $300 rollers to ride my $100 bike on. Thanks

  2. Have you ridden rollers much? If you are really skilled at it then you are probably OK but if you have not I would suggest a different kind of bike to ride rollers. A fixie seems dangerous to me. It's hard enough to ride a freewheel bike. I also think your training would be better on a geared bike so you can vary the resistance.

    Just a thought...

Anyway, I ride rollers on a regular road bike but I would not try it on my fixie.
