Having cycling recreationally for years using a mountain bike on city roads, dikes etc. Now want to move to road cycling instead of running, potentially join a cycling club and train up to go on cycling tours in Europe. First move is to buy a road bike for a beginner with forgoing aspirations. I want a good quality bike which is not outrageously priced, second hand is cool. Anyone have suggestions on second had sports stores that specialize in bikes (lower mainland) and/or types/brands of bikes a beginner should focus on. Thxs.
