  1. I need somekind of advice here. Is genital itch, particularly around the clitoris and vagina a sign
of STDs? Is it common or do I need to seek a doctor's advice? I am rather shy to seek consultation
    actually. Previously

    deduce from this? ---Regretful

  2. allergy to soap deodorant etc, or something more serious. If something more serious the quicker you
    get treatment the better.

It could just be a yeast infection. Since you did say the itching started

To prevent yeast infections try using a hair dryer to make sure your privates are completely dry
after showering. Wear only 100% cotton underwear washed in hot water with Borax or baby detergent,
it's good to add vinegar as well. And eat lots of yogurt--plain is best but, brands sweetened with
honey and fruit are okay as well.

partners without using a condom. You are putting yourself at risk for Chlamydia, syphilis, herpes,
hepatitis, gonorrhoea, PID or AIDS just to name a few. And you are also prone to getting more yeast
    infections, vaginitis, and UTI's.

Vaginal itching could be a sign of some of the above diseases so get yourself checked out as soon as
    possible by your gynaecologist.
