  1. Hello gang,

Ive been browsing through some sites looking for some training tips and plans, but there are so many I wouldn't even know where to begin. It is why I post here. Id like to see if some of you would be kind enough to help a newbie out with a program.

Here's who I am and where I stand:

Started road cycling 1.5 yrs ago just for the cardio. I ride on average 4-6 days a week and spend 10-15 hrs getting my work in. For the most part it was always for the cardio until this past week. I was riding in a weekly race that is approximately 50 miles when I decided to break away with a few of the "big boys" of the group. After a few pulls (avg 27-30mph) I realized that I had no chance to keep up with them and decided pull off and wait for the regular group. This made me curious and eager to get on a training program that could help me increase my strength to keep up with these guys. The ride is mostly 50 flat miles with a few turns here and there. If Simone out there could help me with a 6,8,12 week plan that would make me stronger and allow me to stay in the mix while trying to break away i would greatly appreciate it.

    Thanks in advance.

I'd be willing to answer any questions to help me get the right plan
