Agree that the initial Amazon.com panel was annoying, but after that we must have gone to
different web sites. The one I was at had several small articles from writers/riders I know and
respect. Some good info if I were starting out in cycling commuting. There is too much effort IMO
put into the site to dismiss it as SPAM. I would recommend that someone go there, especially if
they were new to commuting - but I would suggest they plan to go get a cup of coffee or tea when
the Amazon pop up appears.

Chuck: I've respected your opinions in the past, and so when I saw your reply a couple of weeks ago,
I skipped the link. Then I read Curtis's response and decided to try it. I didn't have the
experience that you did, not at all.

The linked page gave you a choice between high- or low- speed connection. I'm using the low speed
modem, Netscape 7.1 with the popup blocker. Seemed like a nice site, intended for commuters. Yes,
there's advertising links but they didn't seem to get in the way.

Try it again; maybe something was goofed up a couple of weeks ago when you initially went there.
