1. Nice way to interact with local community. Big Jim pulled down his FaceBook post, but it found its way back up. He did everything but run over the cyclists because they had the audacity to ride across a bridge in Portland, ME facebook.comphoto.php

PTL backlash is forming against Atlantic Adventures facebook.comphoto.php . Heard Shipyard has pulled (or is seriously considering pulling) sponsorship from Jim's TV fishing production. I think I'll go have a Shipyard.

  2. Cabela's just ended sponsorship of Jim's Portland based fishing show. Bad behavior can have consequences.

    Good.

  4. Capt. Jim tells CBS News "it would have been easier if I had just run him over". Nice. http://m.wgme.com/article?id=9503219

That link doesn't seem to work, is there another?

He looks like a typical over fed, angry, uneducated flat footer.

Amazing 2 days. YouTube videos went viral. Cyclist started "Boycott Atlantic Adventures" Facebook page. Captain Jim posted his Facebook response to the incident, expressing his exasperation and outrage that cyclists would use the bridge - or if they did they should use the pedestrian walk way. He followed that up with more than a dozen vitriolic posts justifying why he was right. In the end Captain Jim deleted all of his FB posts, shut down his company's Facebook page, and disconnected the company phone because of the onslaught of community outcry. Now playing a meek and hapless victim who was accosted by this intimidating cyclist.

The "would have been easier to run him over" comment was a death knell for Captain Jim's "reputation". The Portland community has jumped on this issue and Captain Jim is coming out the loser. The more he speaks the more he loses.

All but one of Atlantic Adventures sponsors has cancelled support for Captain Jim's TV (fishing) show because so many people have responded.
