In my opinion it will be very hard to call this one; there's at least 30 riders who could win it

well, i've placed my bet on sagan. strong lead up to the race done in north america, another year of tutelage from riders like spartacus taking him to school on how to finish what is essentially a one day classic, and the realisation he needs to act like a pilot fish on the body of one of the larger national teams on race day make me think sagan will put on this year's rainbow jersey.

not going to Monte Carlo anytime soon. not a bad result for sagan but not a podium either. why does u s cycling take this race so lightly? thirty-first as best placing?

I don't know that many predicted Costa as a winner. That definitely qualifies as a surprise.

I feel sorry for Rodriquez. So many 2nds.

I wonder how Cookson felt when the first WC's hand he had to shake was Costa's?
A great ride by Nibali.

Costa was a worthy winner

Yes, he was.
I was cheering for grandpa, but he ended up with busted ribs. Some of the falls were brutal.
