Haha. As I remember it, the blonde girl was on the other end of the leash. She said to the dog "Stop it, he doesn't want puppies!". I guess the dog was engaged in foreplay. I was just glad he wasn't locking his jaws onto my skinny calf. Maybe we could have had a menage but the blonde wasn't exactly beautiful. The dog was good looking, white and light brown.

There are muppets in all walks of life, not just the police.

Some cyclists are stupid because they fell on there head too many times in bike accidents.

If I was the pedestrian, I would have gotten into the grass. I hate getting off my bicycle to go around people.

I estimate that less than 0.5% of the distance I cover by bicycle is covered on sidewalk. On sidewalks, I usually get off the bike.
25% on neighborhood roads
15% on bike paths
less than 10% in bike lanes

When I successfully pass someone on the part stroll I always...no delay that when I was 8 decades of age. Not sure about pathways since it is officially unlawful to drive a bicycle on them here.

Here in Virginia Beach, the bike lanes are few and far between. I never ride on sidewalks as it is dangerous and illegal (although the cops here never enforce it). But there are many roads that are VERY busy that have no bike lane or sidewalk. And that, my friend, is why I personally seek out back roads with light traffic, because I kinda like being alive.

I don't think I've ever blamed anyone for their behaviour on the sidewalk if I end up riding on a sidewalk for some reason. Where I am it's a ticketable offense but in situations where there's road work (or the like) & I would have to carry my bike or ride on the sidewalk for a block I'm always going to opt for the sidewalk.

I feel you 100%. It's even more annoying when cyclists stay in the middle of the road when you are in a car. I was on the parkway a few times recently and it is a very curvy, mountainous road and it is simply not safe to have to get all the way into the oncoming traffic lane just to pass them when there are that many curves. I do not understand why some cyclists feel the need to take up the whole road, knowing they are far outnumbered by cars. It should be common sense.
