Hi,
I was given a Abeni road Bike. I had never heard of these but after googling, it comes from an importer and manufacturer of bikes in Sydney. Some were mid range, some high speced. Some frames were imported from Italy, some made in Sydney. They also branded Europa Bicycles.
Anyway, as I already have two road bikes, I planned to strip the frame (it is a Reynolds 531) and make a fixie. The problem is everything is in such good condition, after a few tweaks it is purring like a kitten. I cant believe how smooth those old Campy shifters are.

It is a shame but it has been repainted poorly. At least the original chrome rear triangle is still in top order.

Can someone help identify what model / year derailleurs these are? It is a seven speed. I guess early 80s. Other than Campagnolo there are no other markings on them.

The brakes have G.S. stamped on them.

The hoods & brake levers have nothing marked on them. Are they original?

The chain rings are Biopace, obviously changed over some time later. These are the old equilipical rings coming back into vogue. Again, its a shame because the crank have been converted to Shimano Exage 300EX.

The cassette and hub (105) is also Shimano. Is it normal for Campy shifters to work so well with Shimano gear? This leads onto my next question. Can anyone help by pinning down what BB this is?

The stem & bars S 3TTT. The bars have "Competizone Made in Italy" on them.

So, should I spend the time & money and get this back to original or should I stick with my original plan of
making a nice fixie for myself?
If youve come this far, thanks for your time & consideration.
