  1. I'm interested in getting a folding bike. I'll merely be pooling it around for exercise at local parks.

So far, I've got my eye on the Montague SwissBike X50, but that thread about it being made of cheap materials gave me a scare. Is this an isolated incident, or am I better off getting a higher-end model like the ParaTrooper if I insist on getting a Montague?

I'm open to other ideas, but the reason I like the Montague is because it looks more like a normal bike. Most folding bikes look really awkward to me.

  2. Trick question! folding bikes are lame. just buy a regular bike. it will ride much better

  3. I've heard lots of good things about Brompton. http://brompton.com/

I haven't seen anything fold smaller, either.

    I'd go with the Brompton.

I've a friend who commutes 170 miles per day by train and he swears by the Brompton for storage on public transport.
