1. Hi I have been biking now one season with a second hand 12 year old aluminium bike.
The bike is about 12 kg and I think it is time to upgrade.
I will bike about 5-15 hours/week (if you compare with this season).
There is so many different things to consider, like weight, groupsets, wheels and much more.

I could spend like 3000$ but I don't want to buy something that I don't need.

Playing around with http://bikecalculator.com/ there seems to be a big diminishing return on money spent.
Reading a lot on internet it seems that Carbon bikes are lighter and are better against vibrations. Is there anything else?

What to consider for different wheels? groupsets? Are there just the weight?
Is it price worthy to buy a good second hand bike? Or is it to risky with hidden problems?

Also since I'm a happy amateur I guess it is good to wait until spring 2015 and then buy a bike form 2013 or 2014?
I'm very grateful for advice's!

5. Anyone has any experince with canyon?
I found this http://www.canyon.com/en/roadbikes/series/endurace-cf.html

There seams to be a BIG difference in price just for a couple of 100 grams...?
Since everything else seems the same.

I like the bike but I'm not sure about the dealer. I don't read Italian, but it looks too much like one of those sites that takes money out of your bank account, doesn't deliver the bike, and doesn't take or return phone calls.

Been long since I've seen an Italian bike scam! (Except the 12,000 euro Dogma that is. )
