  1. Just a word of warning after a recent experience. If you buy from an international seller such as wiggle or ubyk, you will need to pay an additional Australian Import Tax if your purchase exceeds $1000.

With my most recent purchase, it wasn't until it arrived in Australia that I was slugged with this. It consists of:
    - GST roughly 10% of the item's value
    - A customs entry fee roughly $50.

The thing learnt is if you buy overseas for more than $1000, make sure you add 10-15% to the price if you wish to compare with Australian retailers. In general you may find terrific bargains that far outweigh buying locally but the end it cost me about $150 more than what Pushy's as an Australian online retailer offered. Not a huge deal but just want to throw it out there.
