Opinions On a New Helmet

What's that red shining through at the rear, an integrated light?
If it's a light, how do you intend to manage rear cushioning?
And is that meant to be a full-face design or does the mouth end up below the visor?
If it's a full-face, does the visor offer structural strength enough to protect the lower face?
if it's FF, what about fogging the lens, how is exhaled air directed away?
Does it come with a clear lens option?
Are the vents at the front adjustable?

Enclosed ears? Don't know if I like that.

When I ride, I sweat. I won't buy a bike helmet unless the padding is easily removable for washing.
What kind of fit/head retention system will it have?

Do your friends have enough funding to put it through testing and approval?

As best I can here are answers to your questions.

1. Yes that is a light it is a brake light.
2. Its an LED very small embedded into the material, does't come in contact with the inner surfaces.
3. Its modular, yes the mask can flip up and it can also be removed.
4. When close the visor will have good structural strength to prevent injury.
5. Internal fan to regulate airflow, and the visor will have an anti-fog coating.
6. Yes their will be different variations.
7. No the vents are not adjustable.
8. Yes the pads can be removed and washed.
9. Adjustable straps.
10. Not sure about the funding, but they will be crash testing.

Brake light? Triggered how? Accelerometer?
Internal fan, interesting. Runs off a battery I suppose. Run time? how do you charge? how much weight does the fan + battery add to the helmet?

Yes you guessed it, accelerometer and a gyroscope, the turn signals are triggered by a wireless remote attached to the handle bars, they also work autonomously with gps, but you have the manual option. Yeah it runs off of batteries, not sure on the charge time, they are still testing that, but you can swap them out, which is good. I don't know the exact numbers on the weight that the fan adds, but it is very, very small, like the ones you see on control units for remote control cars, very small. The batteries haven't been nailed down yet from what I'm told, so I wouldn't know the added weight.

Turn signals too? Interesting. You might want to look into the legal situation for those. Where I'm at, turn signals are illegal on bikes. The intention is to keep bicycles from being mistaken for motorcycles. Don't know how helmet mounted indicators would measure up.

Hot or Not? I'm going with Very Hot despite the cooling fan and with the visor removed. Too much 100% coverage area and too little venting. Styling is always subjective and subject to individual tastes and constant change, but it's not a bad start IMO. I kind of like the look of it.

I like the futuristic look and a rear tail light built into it (removable would be a good idea) would be welcome for adding visibility in low light cycling conditions.

Turn signals...fans...transceivers...not so much from my perspective.

The visor seems to be too much lower face coverage for me, but that certainly would add protection and might be desirable for some low-speed urban riding conditions for the big city road warriors that mix it up with hundreds of cars per city block travelled.

Flux Capactitor very funny! I can't comment on weight except to say I've only seen the first stage beta prototype and it doesn't weight too much more that a typical helmet. Electronics are very small and light, google some of them.

Cost promises to be affordable, but no one will tell me an exact number.

I got an update from them, their promotional site is up. Apparently they took an early prototype to CES this year.

Holy [censored]. This feature has got to be a visible light warning designed into the helmet for deaf riders...or is it an audible...er...horn for really, really stupid people?

Got to have a Heads Up Display ( Tom Cruise: "Finish Line too close for time trialing...switching to sprint!"😉...needs direct upload to STRAVA...must control Campy EPS shifting direct from brain waves (a shimaNO option would make the dangerous assumption that their customers actually think)...and absolutely, positively it must have auto-blocking of all Michael Bolton songs.
