Looking at picking up one of these models in the next week or so and wanted to know which one has the better frame for long term upgrading? they will start off with a claris group-set but that as well as the wheels will be upgraded later.
I will have a chance to test ride the Bianchi but not the cannondale. i am looking for overall comfort and not speed. Both are aluminum chassis carbon fork.
I own a synapse, upgrade the wheels and it will be a great mid range bike. I've been very comfortable in it, it absorbs potholes, sewer covers,etc... very well. Good for long rides.
Obviously this is just a personal opinion, and it isn't a right or wrong choice because both bikes are good bikes. However the Bianchi would hold it's value better than the Cannondale.
It may come down to you finding which of the two bikes (or any others) that fit you the best.saa
