La Etapa Costa Rica by Le Tour de France is an open event for all people who want to live the professional race experience and for anyone who wants to support in what will be a great atmosphere of such an event in this beautiful country. La Etapa Costa Rica will be the first race of its kind here and will be a yearly event going forward.
The Route; La Ruta Quitirrisí is a historical route made by the Huetares. An important indigenous group of Costa Rica, that in the middle of century XVI lived in the center of the country. They used to walk this same route for centuries and it carves through the capital (San Jose) into the surrounding forests.
There will be a guest appearance from Chris Froome and a mix of traditional and prerace specific food included in some of the packages along with many sponsors supporting the event.
