Everyone here knows how hard it was, how bloody it was learning how to ride a bike. Bruises and falls are some of the requirements before you learn how to balance while riding on a bike.

The first quote of not buying happiness, but being able to buy a bike is just me. I always find happiness when I ride and that has been the way things have been with me in the sense that I ride even when I feel sad for it makes me happy at the end.

Yes, you're right. We feel the same thing. I also take pleasure when riding a bike. It's happiness. It's my way also to ease my sadness.

That is the message that I am trying to pass across in the sense that riding a bike is one of the best thing that I enjoy doing. One good thing as well is that doing what we enjoy to do brings the best out of us.

My favorite is "It's not a race, it's a journey, enjoy the moment." I don't know many quotes. I just like to keep things simple. Funny quotes are easier to remember. Hope it helps.

I remember my first time in riding a bike when I was a kid, I couldn't learn how to bike properly so I ended up crashing my tries until I get wounded. I couldn't get it easily that time because of my fear and it really sucks me up to the point that it made me mad and suddenly becomes hopeless. But just like the quote, I tried and tried until I succeed because I want to learn.

This is actually quite a good question! In spite of my love of cycling, I don't think I've ever bothered to really look up quotes involving cycling or bicycles. It was interesting to find just how many cycling related quotes there actually are.

I think that one of my favorites I've found so far is from Bill Nye, who holds the title of The Science Guy for those of us who grew up with him. He's quoted as saying, "Bicycling is a big part of the future. It has to be. There's something wrong with a society that drives a car to workout in a gym."

I'm a--admittedly somewhat harsh--critic of present-day society. The idea of driving a car to go exercise is paradoxical and somewhat absurd to me. It represents flaws on a fundamental level and is a sign that somewhere along the line things went askew. Hopefully the future is brighter.
