Can anyone tell me if this bicycle is worth anything, it was picked up from an old guy who had it in his shed for many aeons, it has falcon derailleur and a suntour spirt front derailleur
Its got barely any rust, All surface rust on the rims and components, the frame has almost 0 rust, mind you everything works as it should surpirisingly which is superb.

I would not put much - If any - effort into that bike.
Main reason - steel rims.
Steel rims give VERY poor braking in the wet.Other indicators of a low-end origin are:
- cottered crank
- Seat post with separate saddle clamp
- brake levers turning rusty
- stem lever mount
- Falcon derailer I think is a ”budget” option as well.
