  1. Hello All,

I am just entering the bike market. I used to race BMX/Gary Turner's as a kid. That's it. I now have 2 kids (13,10). I just want to cruise around the streets with them and maybe have the option of doing some occasional light off-roading/mountain biking before I get serious about it. I'm thinking my best option is an Adventure/ Dual Sport Bike. I'm looking at Bikes Direct. I've narrowed it down to one of the Motobecanes. I'm 5'11.5". Because it's just entry level, I'm thinking of just getting the Elite Sport to get my feet wet. But I'm also looking at the Gravity Swift Pro. I know that one seems more like a comfort hybrid, but it looks like you can put some 29's on it to do some like off-roading? Any thoughts or takes on which one?

    Thanks!

  2. In my opinion, you did a good “homework”, so I agree with everything you wrote.
