The reason people are no longer scared to protest is that they don't have to fear getting fired and replaced by someone from Central America.

It is a shame that a few are turning to looting and arson, spurred on by mostly white communist agitators.
For the most part, though, the protests may wind up leading to a more just society although they are uncomfortable to live through now.
