Request From: [email hidden] Living in TX as I do, it is only once each year that we are
able to buyhatch chilles from New Mexico. And so we bought one bushel roasted and somefresh ones
for the freezer, which in the past have kept very well. The problemis, we need some recipes other
than Green Chille Stew. Could anyone help usout, please, as the stew gets old after awhile, and
the only other thing we'vedone with them is to stuff them w/soft cheese. Need ideas.
    Thanks.Jessica

Here is a less authentic Chile Rellenos recipe. But it still tastes good.

    Baked Chiles Rellenos (Stuffed Chiles)

Whole green chiles roasted and peeled 2 2/3 cup flour 3 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. baking soda 2 tsp. salt
2/2 cup shortening 4 eggs 1 1/2 cup buttermilk 1 1/2 cup milk 1 or more lb. sharp cheddar

Preheat oven to 350 degrees Grease 9x13" pan In medium bowl, mix flour, baking powder, baking soda,
and salt Cut in shortening Mix eggs and milk Gently stir in eggs and milk Spread 2/3 batter in
bottom of pan Arrange chiles over batter Sprinkle cheese over chiles Pour rest of batter on top Bake
    45 minutes
