  1. I just bought a bare Fausto Coppi bike frame built by Fiorelli of 1960's or 70's vintage to turn into a regular rider a privateer racer of the era might have used. I don't know the exact year of manufacture, but I'm hoping it is older as Fiorella started doing his frames in 1959... Since its not a "mint" bicycle, I have some liberty... I believe I have three options on equipping it.
I can go all Campagnolo Record, or Super Record. That might make it worth more to some... I can go full Suntour/Shimano, Or, I can go primarilly with Campy for the Crank, BB and a couple of other items and maybe use Suntour Superbe Derrailleurs (they and Sachswere better than what Campy offered then) and shifter maybe a Shimano or Suntour cog, leaning towards some drilled Balilla or Universal (Modolo if it's a late 1970's or an 80's frame)brakes, if I can't score a pantographed set. Stem and handlebars are likely to be TTT. I already have 36 spoke 700 Ambrosio clincher wheels with hubs, but if I find a Campi set at a reasonable price I can replace the spokes when I change it. I expect that pantographed parts may be a bit of a challenge to find and buy, but should add to the aesthetics. I already have a used selle seat that is from a numbered Coppi special run, and a Super Record Coppi pantographed crank. Pantographed seat post are not uncommon. Pedals can be Campi. Paint will be italocentric with Coppi decals and (maybe) badge. That's the plan so far, but I'm open to constructive suggestions and advice.
