We are planning to cycle on road bikes from Penrith to Berwick upon Tweed following the sustrans route. From reading online I understand that some of the route is off road and that there seem to have been variety of versions of the route over the years so my map may be out of date.
I’d really appreciate any advice on exactly where the off road bits are and how challenging they might be in April weather. Road alternative suggestions also very welcome.
