BTW, clear sky in Pembs last night. I looked out at for the Aurora at midnight, but nothing seen as
the mist was swirling or was that the wine!

Forecast is good for tomorrow. Get in the hills with the cameras.

Welcome to our patch John. yes the local hills are changing colour very nicely and the light was
very nice this afternoon. I speak mainly of the Swansea Valley.

Yes, the forests on either side of the Neath Valley are looking really good now. I was going to
mention that the autumn colours are finally at their best.

I didn't see them in sunshine, but they were still very colourful without. I realised that a bit of
sun and blue sky would make all the difference.

Won't be in any serious hills living on the south coast, but will be out on the 'baby hills' of
the South Downs for a 10 mile circuit, camera ever at the ready. The recent deluge of rain has
cleared the air making the colours more dramatic. Clear sky at present, but hoping for a little
cloud to make the composition more contrasting. Will have some photos on the website tonight or
early tomorrow.

I meant during the last week. I said that I "was" going to mention it, meaning in the trip reports,
but as you know there's a slight backlog.

Having said that, in spite of some strongish winds on the mountain tops, we haven't had the usual
October gales, so the trees haven't yet been stripped of their leaves, which can often be quite bare
by this time, so November is starting off more leafy and colourful than usual. I think October is a
little late this year.
