Whats the point of wasting time discussing different types of bike tires for urban commuting when its clear that the majority of you are just going to recommend whatever brand or model youre currently using, regardless of its actual performance or suitability for the task?
Can anyone actually provide a set of objective criteria for evaluating bike tire performance in an urban commuting context, taking into account factors such as puncture resistance, rolling resistance, cornering grip, and durability, and then use those criteria to recommend specific tire models that actually meet those standards, rather than just parroting marketing claims or regurgitating vague, unsubstantiated opinions?
And please, spare me the nonsense about personal preference or it depends on the rider - if a tire cant handle the demands of urban commuting, its not worth recommending, regardless of how much someone might like it.
