  1. Is it possible that our collective focus on strengthening the muscles directly involved in cycling, such as the legs and core, is actually contributing to a higher incidence of certain injuries?

    For instance, if a rider has incredibly strong legs but relatively weak upper body and poor flexibility, are they not more prone to issues like neck and shoulder strain, or even numbness and tingling in the hands?

    Similarly, could an overemphasis on building explosive power in the legs lead to a neglect of the smaller stabilizer muscles that help to maintain proper bike handling and balance?

    It seems that many training programs focus on building raw power and endurance, but neglect the importance of overall athleticism and functional strength.

    Is it not time for us to rethink our approach to training and prioritize a more holistic, full-body approach that emphasizes flexibility, mobility, and coordination, in addition to raw power and endurance?

    Could this not lead to a reduction in injuries and a more sustainable, long-term approach to cycling performance?
