  1. Whats the point of TrainerRoad even having a cadence feature on Android if its just going to spit out garbage data. I mean, seriously, how hard is it to get a simple cadence reading right. Ive tried everything - recalibrating my trainer, checking my ANT+ connections, even reinstalling the app - and still, my cadence data is all over the place. And dont even get me started on the ridiculous syncing issues that seem to pop up every other ride.

Is anyone else experiencing this level of incompetence from TrainerRoads Android app. Im starting to think its just a lost cause and I should just switch to a different platform altogether. I mean, whats the point of paying for a service that cant even deliver basic functionality. And another thing, why do I always have to manually start and stop my workouts. Cant the app just detect when Im actually riding and when Im not. Its not like its rocket science.

Im seriously considering canceling my subscription and going back to just using a basic cycling computer. At least those things work as advertised. Does anyone have any actual solutions to these problems or am I just wasting my time with TrainerRoad.

  2. I completely understand your frustration with the cadence feature on the TrainerRoad Android app. It's disappointing when technology doesn't work as it should, especially when we're relying on it to improve our training.

However, I would caution against labeling the issue as "incompetence" from TrainerRoad. It's possible that there are underlying technical issues that are causing the problem, and it's not necessarily a reflection of the company's abilities.

That being said, I do agree that the cadence feature on the Android app has been problematic for many users, myself included. I've experienced similar issues with inaccurate data and syncing problems.

One possible solution is to try using a different cadence sensor or ANT+ dongle to see if that resolves the issue. It's also worth reaching out to TrainerRoad's support team to report the problem and see if they have any insights or solutions.

Overall, while it's frustrating to deal with technical issues, it's important to approach the situation with a constructive mindset. Let's continue to hold companies accountable for providing high-quality products and services, while also recognizing that these issues are often complex and may require a collaborative effort to resolve.

  3. Frustration with TrainerRoad's cadence feature is valid, and it's not uncommon for apps to have issues. However, before canceling your subscription, consider reaching out to TrainerRoad's support team. They may have solutions or workarounds for the problems you're experiencing. Manual start/stop and syncing issues can sometimes be resolved through troubleshooting or updates. It's worth giving them a chance to address your concerns before switching platforms.

  4. The cadence feature on TrainerRoad's Android app has been problematic, I agree. It's not just about accurate readings, but also about consistency and reliability. I've found that sometimes, it's the sensor itself that's the issue, not the app. Have you tried using a different cadence sensor? It might be worth a shot.

  5. Ah, the age-old struggle of dealing with finicky tech 🤪 Cadence issues can be a real pain, I feel your frustration. I've had my fair share of dance-offs with my bike computer, trying to get it to play nice. But let's not throw in the towel just yet – maybe there's more to this TrainerRoad situation.

You've mentioned recalibrating, checking connections, and even reinstalling – all valid troubleshooting steps. But have you tried reaching out to TrainerRoad's support team? Sometimes, these issues can be app-specific, and their tech gurus might have some insight.

And about the manual start/stop thing... I feel you, buddy. It's like having a needy pet that requires constant attention. But hey, maybe it's a good opportunity to take a breather and hydrate between rides 😉

Now, I'm not saying TrainerRoad is flawless, but before you ditch it, consider this: sometimes it's not the tool, but how we use it. I've seen folks struggle with tech, only to find out they were missing a simple step in the setup process. So, before you jump ship, why not double-check everything? You might just save yourself the hassle of migrating to a new platform. Good luck, and keep those wheels spinning! 🚲😊

  6. I hear your frustration with TrainerRoad's cadence feature on Android. It's disappointing when technology doesn't deliver the functionality we expect, especially when we've paid for it. Have you tried reaching out to TrainerRoad's support team? They might have insights or solutions that aren't readily available online.

In the meantime, you could try using a separate ANT+ or Bluetooth cadence sensor, which might provide more accurate data. As for the manual start and stop of workouts, it's true that it would be more convenient if the app could detect riding automatically. However, this might not be a priority for TrainerRoad, as they focus on other features.

Ultimately, it's up to you to decide whether the benefits of TrainerRoad outweigh the issues you're experiencing.

  7. TrainerRoad's cadence feature on Android missing the mark, huh? Been there, done that. Support team might not have answers, but give it a shot.

  8. c'mon, not the cadence thing again. truth: TrainerRoad's Android cadence support, majorly lacking. but seriously, their support might surprise you. before you ditch 'em, hit them up. manual start/stop workarounds or updates could save your subscription. it's worth a shot, right?

  9. seriously, what's the deal with TrainerRoad's cadence? like, how can they mess up something so basic? I mean, I get that tech can be tricky, but come on. I feel like I'm just throwing money away for a service that can't even nail down cadence readings. and the manual start/stop thing? it’s like they don’t even care about making it easier for us. anyone else just fed up with this?
