And what even constitutes a perfectly timed front derailleur shift, anyway? Is it when you shift right before you hit the steepest part of the climb and your chain doesnt skip a beat? Or is it when you shift at the exact moment when your cadence is just right and your power output is perfectly optimized? And how do you even measure this stuff, anyway?
