Whats the best chain lube for fixies and single-speed bikes, or are you all still stuck on the whole just use whatevers lying around and hope for the best approach? I mean, seriously, how hard is it to keep a chain clean and quiet when youre not even dealing with the complexities of derailleurs and cassettes? And yet, every time I take my fixie out for a spin, Im surrounded by the cacophony of squeaky chains and the stench of burning rubber. Its like youre all trying to make a statement or something. Oh, look at me, Im a fixie rider, I dont need no stinkin chain lube! Newsflash: you do need chain lube, and if youre not using it, youre just being lazy.
