Is it really worth spending an extra $2,000 on the Ridley X-Trail C when the Kona Rove NRB DL offers almost identical specs and performance at a significantly lower price point? The Ridleys frame is made from the same high-modulus carbon fiber as many other bikes in its class, and its hard to argue that the minor weight savings and slightly more aggressive geometry are worth the massive price premium. Meanwhile, the Kona Rove NRB DL offers a more practical and comfortable riding position, making it a better choice for riders who actually plan on using their bike for more than just showing off at the local coffee shop. Add to that the fact that the Konas components are almost identical to the Ridleys, and its hard to see why anyone would choose the Ridley over the Kona. Is the Ridley X-Trail C really just a status symbol for riders with more money than sense, or is there something Im missing?
