Are mountain bikers truly aware that life exists beyond the confines of the forest, or are they just too caught up in their own little world of mud, sweat, and gears to care about the rest of us who ride on actual roads with actual traffic and actual weather conditions that arent just mud and more mud?
I mean, seriously, have you ever seen an MTB rider attempt to navigate a busy city street or ride in the rain without looking like a drowned rat? Its like theyre a different species or something. Do they not know that there are other types of cycling out there that dont involve tree roots and rocks? Or are they just too cool for school to bother with the likes of us mere mortals who ride on paved roads?
And dont even get me started on their gear - all that fancy-schmancy stuff thats designed specifically for riding in the dirt. Do they not know that the rest of us make do just fine with our trusty ol road bikes and our waterproof jackets? I mean, whats the point of having a bike thats specifically designed for riding in the mud if youre just going to end up covered in mud anyway?
So, MTB riders, I ask you: do you know that theres life beyond the forest, or are you just too busy getting your mountain bike on to care?
