Whats the stupidest thing youve ever done to fix a gravel bike issue that surprisingly worked, and would you actually recommend it to someone who isnt completely desperate or a glutton for punishment, and how did you manage to not completely trash your bike in the process.
More specifically, Im talking about those ridiculous MacGyver-esque fixes that have no business being successful, but somehow ended up being the solution to a problem thats been plaguing you for weeks. Was it using an old rubber band to hold a broken derailleur in place, or maybe employing a healthy dose of electrical tape to keep a cracked frame from completely falling apart.
And lets be real, weve all been there - youre in the middle of nowhere, your bike is broken, and youre 10 miles from the nearest town, so you do what any self-respecting cyclist would do: you improvise. But the real question is, whats the most creative, borderline insane fix youve ever come up with, and did it actually work.
And before you go shouting about how youre a master bike mechanic whos never had to resort to such barbaric tactics, lets just say that Im not buying it. Weve all been there, and if you havent, then congratulations, youre a better person than the rest of us.
