  1. I tried some expensive mail-order homeopathic Arnica at 500mg 12C for a chronic swelling problem
that is unresponsive to conventional meds. It seemed to help but the capsules were about $6/day and
I want to take this stuff daily. I tried some 30X tablets of unknown milligrams, from a local store,
which were cheap, but they didn't help. I suspect the problem is the concentration. The same store
has 30C pellets (the little blue vial company) I can buy, but I don't know how many 30C pellets OR
how many 30X tablets equate to one 500mg 12C capsule?

Please share the math. I am competent with math, but this whole homeopathic system is a
    mystery to me.

  2. In this instance does "bigot" mean they don't join in the "I'm ok, you are ok, all us suckers is ok
cause we tell each other so" choir? Bigot in the general sense is one who makes a judgement about
one based on membership in some group only. Each of the articles on that page lists clearly the
scientific reference upon which conclusions are drawn or a report from personal experience. With
regard to what group is bigotry being shown, there must be one by definition for it to be bigotry.
To "rely" must be based on the quality of the scientific info presented in the questions the page
addresses. If you have some trouble with the science or the conclusions drawn or some contridicting
info of equal qquality, please share it here that we all may benefit.

I wouldn't rely on anything from this site. The bigotry of the people who run this site has
completely eclipsed any credibility. Whether their analysis is accurate or not is lost in the haze
of this blind hate they express. They are the other side of the coin of salesmen who pitch garbage.

In either case, science and good observation is left to whither on the vine.

    The math is dead simple.

There are two standard dilutions in homeopathy, X and C. In the former, one drop of a solution is
diluted with nine drops of solvent (i.e. 1 part in 10 parts), and shaken. The latter is a one part
    in 100 dilution.

The number preceding the X or C is the number of times the dilution was completed. So, a 30C
dilution is 1 drop in 100, thirty times sequentially. If you know anything about molarity of
solutions, statistically, anything beyond a 12C dilution has little chance of having any active
    ingredient in it whatsoever.

To consider your specific question, a 30C preparation has been diluted one-hundredfold 18 times more
than has a 12 C solution. Homeopathy holds that this enhances the potency of the preparation.

Mg??? Could not be of the effective constituent. When diluted to 30 deg, the original atom is
perhaps some place around Moscow or so at the time of writing if you are in US. one Mol of stuff
contain about 10*21 number of atoms. So, when diluted to 10**(-30), one atom left is placed
somewhere in 10**7 liter water. Quite a lot, eh??

You'll see 500mg 12C on the majority of the capsules in the pack. Those work for me. But because
they sell this stuff for post-surgical one-time use, it's expensive. I have different usage needs,
which are chronic, and I want a way of duplicating what I get in their 500mg 12C capsules.
    Suggestions?

    Thanks.

Yes. Get some water of reasonable purity and dissolve *nothing* in it.

No, it means specifically that they aspire to maintain the false divide between "biomedicine" and
the rest. They basically spend all their time slamming anything and everything with a bias that
bears no resemblance to science whatsoever. There are some issues that I've agreed with them on
(e.g., the fraud pepertrated by Hulda Clark).

But in general, I have found (and had many email exchanges over the years with people like
Sampson and others from there) that they use and misuse data to support their pre-formed bias.
    That is bigotry.

Therefore, I stand by my view that this organization is worthless and bigoted.

Now: I grant you, I am providing an opinion without backing it with specific examples. Ideally, that
would bolster my argument. I don't have time to do that right now and so one should definitely form
their own opinions about the group. But I advise caution about the way they use data. They are just
as willing to skew data negatively as any nutriceutical company (or pharmaceutical company with
    drugs) to boost sales.

This has no value for those of us who are trying to make treatment decisions and it is anti-
    scientific. George M. Carter

  8. On the below we can agree, with the addition that the snake oil folk make a biz of non-science and
out and out fabrication and manipulative marketing of the most predatory kind. When you have time to
provide support for your views, we can talk. Until then, their scientific support is the best we
have on the vast array of topics covered. While science is always ready to change in the face of new
more convincing info, we must go with the best at any given time. Those who are the supject of the
pages barbs typically provide little or no science to the contrary.

These tablets are also used in all medical experiments. They are called placebo pills. They contain
nothing than the dilution principle, often chalk. Of course, that work. Believe in a pill always
cure a lot of people, it is just called placebo effects.
