Looking for recommendations for a good recording HRM. I want one that records the entire workout, and then downloads it to my computer for review. I'm having difficulty choosing one over the other. Also, if you could, please point me to a good website or two on how to choose a good HRM system if there are any.
I know there's good ones from Polar, Nike, and Timex so far. Are there others worth considering? Which ones work the best?
Yes, Ultima! Most Danes use Polar. Cardioport models were very limited (especially memory-wise) before the Ultima came out. Now the Ultima does everything Polar's top models do (apart from built-in fitness tests and "personal training zones"😉 at a rather more modest price. I have a Polar 620i. I've had only minor problems with it, the IR has to be removed from the USB when I reboot else it locks up the machine. The IR is also fairly picky when it comes to position to get it to read. I use the Software that came with mine, it's fairly nice. I've had no problems with the watch and or transmitter at all. I've had it for a little over a year now. The watch records the entire workout and multiple workouts, up to 23hrs based on, I think, 3 second readings. Check out polars sight they have a comparison of all there units.
