  2. Where the heck did Bertogliati come from? I reckon the sprinters were thinking he'll crack before he hit the top of that final climb. Man, I think he must of been in agony those last few metres!
    Hunter 4 minutes off the pace. Weird. ???

  3. I do not know! He came out in the last K like a madman. My wife was at the finish line and said she had never seen anyone, let alone a pack of them, ride so fast. Always nice to have a stage win on your mantelpiece!

  4. Re Zabel coming off second best in Stage 1 - I can't help thinking that Cipollini with the Acqua e Sapone zebra squad that we saw in Giro d'Italia, would have been in command. ???

    Maybe he was caught in the same crash that a few of the CA boys were in?
    Its the kind of sprint you'd think would have suited him IMO
