The last time I was there (late 80s) there was still a building (the emergency shelter) on the summit of Ben Nevis. Has that now gone the same way as the high level shelters in the Cairngorms, destroyed by a PC ethos that would rather deny shelter to those in extremis than allow any hint that they have encouraged the feckless to risk their lives in any
Maybe this PC thing is not so bad.. Removing unusable litterbins from the Monadh Ruadh seems a sound move...
