  1. Just returned from lunch at The Roasted Pear, a new
restaurant in town (Burnsville). We ordered the Thai Chicken
pizza. Thin crust, peanut sauce, few chicken bits, 5-cheese
blend, baked then topped with bean sprouts, finely shredded
    carrots and a ittle cilantro.

Does that sound like anything you'd eat? Rob was curious and
I was willing. I have a head cold but could taste the heat
of the peanut sauce if not much of the flavor. It was the
cheese that threw me -- I don't know what I expected but cheese-
topped peanut sauce wasn't it. The carrots and sprouts
seemed to be there for appearance only.

I've had Thai chicken pizzas before that had a cheese
blend. Not sure on all of the kinds, but Mozarella and
smoked gouda were part of it. I personally *like* Thai
    pizzas. But that's just me.

Too "fusion cuisine" for me. I could see putting these
ingredients in a rice or noodle bowl, or even within a rice
paper wrapper, but not on top of a pizza crust.

Yep. It's one of my favorite pizzas at California
    Pizza Kitchen.

I have to say that I've never heard of a Thai Pizza before
this, but it sounds god-awful. Heat is a plus for pizza to
me, chicken is just fine... but carrots, sprouts, peanut
    sauce, cilantro? COOKED????? Yuck!

It's pure puke to top off all of that with cheese.

I've never cared much for the foo foo pizzas anyway. What
you ate does not sound the least bit appealing to me. Would
I try it? Sure. After letting you people talk me into eating
head cheese I'll try anything once 😉 The cheese and peanut
sauce combo on the pizza has me stumped. Especially a 5
    cheese blend.

Sammy's Woodfired Pizza, found mainly in the San Diego
County area, serves a Thai Chicken pizza with julienne
veggies, cilantro, scallions, peanuts, lime juice, fresh
mint and spicy peanut sauce that I find pretty tasty. I
don't think there's much, if any, cheese on it, don't think
I'd like it if there was...no bean sprouts either.

Oh, please don't mention CPK... I tried eating there ONCE.
My daughter was in college - I visited and took her and her
friends out for a meal. GAG! My pizza was was awful tasting.

That was in Santa Barbara, so it should have been one of the
    better restaurants in the chain.

Cheese and peanut sauce doesn't do it for me-- not two kinds
of cheese and not with all that other stuff.

Cheese and and peanut butter can be good on a cracker,
    though.

Going on the information I got in another post.... was that
