  1. One principle activity by which iron is regulated is by varying the
    absorbtion rate in the gut,ie. as less is needed less is taken from the
    gut. Vit c helps regulate this iron uptake and the regular use of it
    helps avoid iron deficiency in veggie alone eaters. Here is an abstract

    some veggie people have also developed calcium deficiency,
    such as 40 year old lady with bone density of an 80 year
