Different brands measure bikes in different ways. The old
standard is to measure the distance from the center of the
bottom bracket, along the seat tube, to the center of the
top tube. Make sure you identify this as the "center-to-
center" size.

Measure the distance from the center of the bottom bracket
(the pedal bearings around which the cranks rotate) along
the seat tube, to the top of the top tube. Some use the
center of the top tube.

Along with the seat tube measurement, people will sometimes
include their own height, if the bike fit them, and the
'standover' height of the bicycle- measure from the ground
to the top tube about where your crotch would be when
standing over the bike.

People reading ads often don't know what a '19 inch' frame
would mean to them. If you are placing the ad in a bike-
specific place, no need, but for a 'general public' ad, this
extra info can be helpful.
