How many bikes at your residence?

Between myself & my partner we have 9 ridable bikes and another 9 frames/partly disasembled bikes.

Well, we don't have any children to blame this on...we have 12. This includes 2 mountain bikes, 6 road bikes, a custom tandem, 2 hybrids and a beach cruiser. And we use them all.

I have 3:

A Small Thrift Store Mountain Bike which is fun to ride on short distances.

An early 80s no name road bike that is partially disassembled.

An early 80s Roadmaster bike which is my primary ride.

My girlfriend and I own 6 bikes and one frame + parts

she has 2 road bikes and 2 mountain bikes and I have one road bike, a free ride bike and a frame plus bits which will be my new XC rig

I also just sold my old road bike

all the bikes live in our living room in a small 2 bedroom city apartment so people think we are a little strange

other than that the bikes at my residence are:

1) a hybrid i got when i was 14
2) my road bike
3) my other road bike with a bent rear derailleur

all are mine - no one else in my house rides bikes....

hmm.. well, i live in a group house where all but one has at least one bike...

i have three (road, mtb, & hybrid--daughter's)
one housmate has three (road, commuter/mtb, and rusted old mtb)

the other has one (commuter/mtb)

that's nine, when the boyfriends aren't around. makes house shopping for the next place hard to do...

5 Mine, 2 wifes, 1 childs(19), 2 frames awaiting rebuilds.

Just two (road bike, and XC hardtail mountain bike)

I really have no other space for any more, but if I did, I can't think of why I'd want another. Well, maybe a full suspension MTB.. but I have enough trouble finding the time to keep two bikes in perfect working order. Any more and I'd be in the garage way more than I'd like to be.

I'm likely to replace the Trek 800 with a Surley Karate Monkey and go fixed gear singlespeed. It should make a great commuter in the cooler months. It's a bit spendy for me (I try to avoid expensive theft-targets), but dammit, I want one. With the options it would give me, I may have the last frame I'd need for a while.

As the local council is having their annual hard waste collection, there might be a few more partly disassembled bikes in the household by the time you get home tonight, dear. 😄

Always room for another BMX frame, if we do run out of space, the cats gonna have to move out.
