  1. I plan to join an organized ride (thepeacecycle.org) from
London to Jerusalem starting August 15th and ending
September 27th – just under 2,000 miles excluding water
    crossings.

I've never ridden in Europe and would like to hear from
those who have. I'm especially interested in information
that might help me avoid troubles.

I have also never shipped my recumbent (Vision Sabre) and
would like some tips on how to do this.

Thanks in advance for those offering constructive advice.

I suggest you get an armed escort when passing through any
Muslim countries. Remember, they hate us - and that means
you. They will see you as a decadent Western infidel and
they will try to kill you for sport and recreation. You must
be crazy as a loon to even think about cycling in the Middle
East. My best advice, stay out of those Muslim countries if
you ever want to see lovely Nebraska again.

What countries are you travelling through?

The website seems to offer precious little in the way of
    further information
    - not even a contact address or example routes. Shouldn't
the organisers be able to answer most of your questions?

Incidentally, I couldn't find any mention of cycle, bicycle,
    peacecycle on Gush Shalom's website.
