Snorting drugs and cavernous/venous/sagittal sinus thrombosis

bad. Coke was much more enjoyable rubbed on my upper gums
above my front teeth. But then, I'm an opiate fan; would
rather sloooooooooow down than speed up.

with blood dripping from my nose for a week long until
some afternoon where I got a huge headache after getting
in a dispute with my mother, I was very angry and I could
feel the blood rushing through my head because I was so
tense. The headache got worse and worse, I got to the
hospital but I went back home after 6 hours of waiting, I
just couldn't take the waiting anymore and my headache was
killing me, I wanted to sleep.

Then some morning soon after I got a severe left earache,
I got to the hospital, a nurse inspected my ears and said
there was some blood near my left eardrum but nothing more
so I went home again because the waiting was too much once
again. The doctor prescribed me Clavulin, he suspected an
inner ear infection. I used the antibiotic to no avail. I
then resumed my life as if nothing happened but then I
noticed some kind of depression settling in, my grades at
school dropped a little and I was oversleeping.

Later in April/May 2003 I started to experience disturbing
symptoms, pins and needles in the face, back of the head,
jolts inside my neck/head, weird floating (that disappears
as soon as I try to focus on it) dot in my vision eye
doctors can't explain... I was a fan of marijuana before
but at this point it was making me nervous so I reduced
the dosage and smoke it infrequently from then on. I used
to sing a lot to the music I listen to and without
bragging I was doing well but now I can't keep on tune for
a long time, it seems like my left vocal chord won't
follow and then I start coughing. ( I never ever smoked
cigarettes and now rarely smoke marijuana). My eyes have
started looking weird, seems like my left pupil is
smaller, but my doctor says it isn't (?). Sometimes the
facial symptoms do not limit themselves to pins and
needles, I feel pain around my left temple, left ear and
left area around my left eye and sometimes some tremors on
the area round my cheekbone. If I move my eyes around in
circle I will twitch in the face. Sometimes pressure seem
to build inside my head (!). I have noticed that when I
work at school I always have my left hand touching my head
when i'm writing, it seems to alleviate symptoms.

In november 2003 my family doctor ordered me to take an
EEG, which came up normal without surprise, I know EEG's
are mostly useless. I since switched of family doctor.

From this point things haven't really changed, i'm still
in college, I do well in my maths and physics classes but
I can't keep up with classes where I need to talk with
other people and interact, my behavior has changed. I used
to be a social person; I am now a loner. It seems I get
nervous with anyone who I am not close with. I have taken
a CT of the sinus, ears and orbits today on the order of
my ENT, this following surgery to my deviated septum.

Through thorough research on the internet since a year I
have a hunch that I may have suffered
cavernous/venous/saggital sinus thrombosis following
infection inside my nose. All of the internet site seems
to indicate that you should get treatment in the following
days but in my case I couldn't : getting treatment was
hard and doctors didn't take me seriously except the ENT.
Will my ENT find anything on that CT scan ? Am I still
treatable ? I cannot think I will have to live like this
the rest of my life, seems like the life was sucked out of
me. Is my self diagnosis rather good ? I know I am no
doctor but after searching for a year about the thing that
happened to me I have pinpointed it to a sinus stroke of
some sort. It seems like my cranial nerves III, IV,V and
VI are damaged.

P.S I know i didn't have a brain attack (normal stroke),
none of my side is paralyzed, my speech isn't slurred
and my cognitive capacities are relatively in good
shape.

I would make an appt. with a GOOD neurologist. I don't wanna
scare you but I don't like the pins & needles feeling you're
getting in your head-(or the general all over weakness)-...
From the symptoms you described it sounds like some kinda
circulation problem and more than likely has nothing to do
with anything you may have snorted in the past. Make the
appt., better safe than sorry. Good

Thanks a lot, i still need to see my family doctor to get an
appointment for a neurologist, which sucks, it takes such a
long time to even see him. What do you mean circulatory
problem ? Anything related to heart attacks ???

affected all parts of my face, due to snorting certain
things in an unsanitary, germ-sharing environment (I even
snorted a glass shard along with my .

infected. The strange thing was that, this time, the
