  1. Hi, there:

What is the possible harm of drinking 3.5L litters of hot
water each day while the recomended is is 2.5L...

Why do I always feel throat dry...

I live in Singapore...tropical weather city...

Has to do with body weight, activity level, the amount you
sweat and what you eat. Some people drink very little but
eat lots of raw fruit and veggies to bring up liquid
consumption. Salty foods increase need for water. An athlete
from Panama will need more water than a sedentary person
    from Canada.

Too much water can dilute B vitamins and electrolytes; an
extreme (happened lately with fraternity hazing) could
overload bloodstream with water and drown the person.

Dry throat can be from dehydration, medication or billions
of other reasons. Here is a decent site to search:

  3. Thank you Kelly.

I am 28 yr old male, has chronic infection in the nose and
somewhere else. Take a tablet of paracetomol in the morning.
I work in air-con office and sit 10 hours a day, no
    sweating...

My food include 200mL juice and a coffee and bread in the
morning. then I need to drink 1.2L in the morning hours
alone!!! That scared me...I don't pee a lot either...

Does it mean drinking too much water damages kidney?

    Thanks for your answer. Kelvin

The water has to go somewhere. Some is expelled in breath
but you're obviously not causing fogs in your office.

Normal ingestion of water is an individual thing, as I
posted before. Generally, urine should be clear rather than
yellow unless certain foods or vitamins color it. Unless one
drinks after dinner, most likely there will be no need to
    disturb sleep to urinate.

Since the nose and throat are connected, maybe the
infections in your nose and "somewhere else" are causing the
    dry feeling in your throat.

An abdominal ultrasound will show abnormal kidney size which
    is an indicator of failure.

Urinalysis is a good early indicator of chronic kidney
failure, if it will ease your mind. Will also check for
    sugar in urine.

Would try to wean off paracetomol if possible; some people
    are sensitive to
    it.

It's difficult to analyze on minimal information, that's
why doctors have you fill in all of those forms before
    they see you.
