Shrimp scampi, and another duplication

I have another one of this genre. It always amuses me
when I read "flourless chocolate torte" on a menu. A
torte is a flourless cake by definition--although it
sometimes has a miniscule amount of flour in it. Why
don't they just write "torte"?

Perhaps to clarify for those who typically order torte
because they can't eat wheat. Tortes typically do contain
some small amoumt of wheat flour, indeed some contain
bread crumbs.

Some tortes contain a goodly amount of flour--Sachertorte
and Linzertorte, to name two (even though Linzertorte is
really a jam [censored] of sorts). "Torte" does not automatically
mean flourless.
