This is actually related to a similar post. Just thought it might be useful in distinguishing the short, medium and long cage version of Campagnolo's 2004 Record rear derailleur (see pic).
Note: Aside from the difference in cage lengths, the cages for the medium and long versions are made of multi-directional carbon fibre (see the marbled finish) while the short cage uses uni-directional fibres. Campagnolo asserts that the multi-directional fibres better withstand torsional loads imposed on the mechanism.
