Hello, Does anyone use Free Agent to read newsgroups?
Someone recommended it to me and I was just wondering how it
was. Kristine

I have used it for years. It is a stripped down version
of some other readers but gets the basic job done for
free. Mary -

windows. The free version has some drawbacks (notably it
doesn't alert you to cross posts). You haven't wasted your
money. I have the old version and was thinking of
upgrading to v2.Ray

I have used it for years and recently (about 12 months ago)
upgraded to Agent ($20 or so). It's fantastic and I wouldn't
access Usenet any other way.Best, Diane

I use the paid version of Agent, absolutely love it. I
haven't updated to their newest version though, am curious
if there are any major changes.Joyce

I guess then you like it. I bought the program so I guess what I have is
Fort Agent not Free Agent. I am trying it out. I guess I should have just
gone with the 30 day free trial.

Where/how does it notify of cross postings? I should look
back at some in this packet.... Unless I show ALL_HEADERS
which is too much info, I can't easily tell???Thanks...

Check under Properties-cross posts. Here you can control
whether or not you see cross-posts. In this group look for
the trolls and you'll find cross posts for sure."Fred" <[email hidden]> wrote in message

Some, altho not many, of the cross-posts have been
worthwhile.Laura said:
